ABOUT US

Giving Young People Opportunities

Our Story

Goyouth Activities emerged in 2013 from a deep-seated passion to empower Worthing's young people, a vision championed by Shirley Robinson-Viney. Shirley is a retired youth work veteran with years of dedicated service to the community. Her legacy of supporting youth initiatives, mentoring the Youth Mayor, and advising the former Youth Council laid the groundwork for this vital organization. Today, her commitment is shared by a passionate group of trustees, united in their mission to cultivate environments where young people, children and others can thrive and explore the boundless horizons of their potential.

The Compound

Goyouth Activities is thrilled to have secured the lease of a secure, self-contained seafront compound, a truly unique asset for the community. Situated in a coveted location immediately west of Worthing Sailing Club on Sea Place, the site offers the exceptional benefit of direct beach access via a slipway. This remarkable space, previously a valued center for youth activities, has now been revitalized by the charity to once again host a wide spectrum of outdoor pursuits for individuals of all ages. Its versatility is evident in its history of welcoming diverse groups, including foster families, fitness classes, Girlguiding and Scouting organizations, church groups and even the Worthing Sailing Club. Enhancing its accessibility, the compound features a dedicated disabled toilet facility, which enhances the comfortability of the site. If you want to book the compound look at the membership page.
